Students explore ways in which humanity has sought meaning and purpose in life, particularly as reflected in the visual, performing, and literary arts. The course examines interrelations between diverse cultural traditions and artistic expressions. It also introduces elements, concepts and terminology of the various humanistic disciplines studied.
