ESL Placement Level: For English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) students, placement into ESL 2510 or higher.
Prerequisite: MAT 1050 or placement into MAT 1100 or higher; or consent of instructor.
This course is designed to prepare students for technical careers. The complexity and rapid change of modern technology require training that is applicable to more than a single job. Technicians will be exposed to the concepts of the mechanical, fluid, electrical and thermal principles on which modern technology is based. This course integrates the above mentioned four concepts with the physical principles of force, work, rate, resistance, energy, power and force transformers.
