The Police Academy Certificate is restricted to Police Academy graduates.
The Oakland Police Academy meets all requirements for Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES). Successful completion of the Academy qualifies cadets to take the MCOLES Michigan Police Officer licensing exam.
MCOLES required knowledge and skill tests include, but are not limited to: Criminal Law and Procedures, Firearms, Emergency Vehicle Operations, First Aid, Physical Fitness Exit Exam, and Defensive Tactics.
Completion of the Oakland Police Academy satisfies above requirements.
