ATF 1400     Introduction to Hydraulics     3 Credit Hours

Equivalent: APT 8400

ESL Placement Level: Placement into ENG 1510, ENG 1510E, or ENG 1510S, or placement into ESL 2510 or higher or completion of ESL 2510 or higher. ENG transfer credit will also satisfy this prerequisite.

This course illustrates the application of physical concepts such as Boyle's Law, Charles' Law, Bernoulli's Theorem, Torrecellie's Law, Pascal's Law, K'Arch's Equation, Reynold's Number, pressure drop, density, specific gravity, efficiency and horse power, through basic hydraulic circuitry.
