SLS 1211     Non-manual Grammatical Features of ASL     2 Credit Hours

English/ESL Placement: Placement into ENG 1510.
Prerequisite: Grade of 'C+' or better in SLS 1030 or consent of departmental designee.
Note: Prerequisites for courses in this department are not automatically waived for College Guest students and students with a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S. institution.

This course focuses on specific facial manipulations that are essential grammatical components of American Sign Language such as lexical, morphological and syntactical non-manual signals formed by the mouth, cheeks, eyes, eyebrows, head, and shoulders.
