Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Nursing Program.
Note: Prerequisites for courses in this department are not automatically waived for College Guest students and students with a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S. institution.
Corequisite: NUR 1410 or NUR 1811.

The Pharmacology for Nurses course is designed to introduce students to the knowledge and skills necessary to safely calculate, prepare and administer drugs to patients. The unifying concepts of human being, nursing, health/illness and environment will be integrated into the course to emphasize the importance of assessment, planning and evaluation in administering drugs to patients.
