HUM 1510     Arts and Literature: Origins of Western Traditions     3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 1510.

The course focuses on European and Middle Eastern art, architecture, literature and music from prehistoric times to the Renaissance. Comparisons with other cultures are included. Emphasis is placed on lasting meaning in the arts and their relations to philosophical, religious, aesthetic and social/political outlooks. BILLABLE CONTACT HOURS: 3
